FAQ
-What is Podcasting?-
As defined by Cpupedia.com, Podcasting is a way of publishing sound files to the Internet, allowing users to subscribe to a feed and receive new audio files automatically. Podcasting is distinct from other types of audio content delivery because it uses the RSS protocol. This technique has enabled many producers to create self-published, syndicated radio shows.
Users subscribe to podcasts using “podcatching” software (also called “aggregator” software) which periodically checks for and downloads new content. It can then sync the content to the user’s portable music player, hence the portmanteau of Apple’s “iPod” and “broadcasting”. Podcasting does not require an iPod, however; any digital audio player or computer with the appropriate software can play podcasts.

-How we got started-
We took radio class for a year and half learning the craft of the radio industry. Then when we were done and were going to start sending out resumes to radio stations we were told about a thing called "Podcasting" people started telling my brother and I that its the new wave forum of radio but, its on the net and people can listen to your show whenever, where ever. So, while we still want to get noticed and expierence we thought this would be the best way to do so. So here we are.
-How did we come up with the name?-
Well its a shorten version of what our name really was from the begining but, it was too long and we had to make it short and sweet. The original name was "The Hot Spot- In the jungle of San Diego"so, you can see why we shorten the name. The Origin of the name "The Hot Spot" came just because of the night life here in San Diego theres a lot of clubs/Hot spots to hang out at and chill.
